Cleaning Division Programs

Helping to keep Downtown Wilmington clean is a key mission for Downtown Visions. Our Cleaning Ambassador crews supplement the services of the City of Wilmington to provide premium cleaning results. This ensures that Wilmington's streets and sidewalks are clean and graffiti-free and that downtown presents a neat, welcoming environment each and every morning.

Sidewalk Cleaning
Downtown Visions deploys 12 uniformed workers and mechanical equipment, in two squads, seven days a week, providing up to 10 hours of services per day. Mechanical sweepers clean downtown's sidewalks and DTV's uniformed cleaners manually sweep as well. The entire district's sidewalks get powerwashed, except in winter, to remove accumulated gum and grime.

Graffiti Removal
Graffiti and illegal posters send a message of shabbiness and indifference to any public space. Downtown Visions is set on ridding the business improvement district of this blight. Specially trained teams use solvents and high-pressure washers to blast graffiti from building walls, light poles signs and street furniture.

Public Space Reporting
Our team of trained ambassadors survey the district for violations and problems in the public environment, such as clogged sewers, code violations, broken fire hydrants, illegal trash disposal, and streetlights that are out, to name just a few. All problems and violations are reported promptly to the responsible public agency. Downtown Visions follows up to ensure prompt attention and service.
